Coronavirus, not eternal enemy either
Sweeping across the world, the coronavirus,
with a fancy name Covid-19,
stopped the Earth and all on it rotating,
forced humankind back to the life of cave-dwelling,
observing the sun and moon, also counting the stars
for self-entertaining.
More frightening is its rapidly secretive attacking
that makes the brave ones lower their heads
and the once mask-deriding countries beg for help
so as to tightly block their people’s mouths and noses.
Both the trembling economy and shivering lives,
are writing a painful page in human history,
through the cross-dissemination of the internet,
Not only has it topped the bestselling list,
being widely read in every household,
but has headlined all news media.
The minds of readers and viewers,
as a result, are filled with nothing else,
but naked viruses wildly swimming.
With the prophetically sad tone, the wise man sighed:
“This is a global war,
not only is the enemy invisible,
nor is there any smoke of gunpowder,
the extent of the ferocity, however,
cannot be estimated in words and numbers.
The world must closely cooperate
to eliminate the common enemy sooner not later…”
“Closely cooperate”, “to eliminate the common enemy”
a rhetoric so inspiring, so familiar
that the human beings have echoed over and over,
though the scale of cooperation is not the same,
the enemy has been constantly changing its face:
today’s allies may be tomorrow’s enemies
while the enemies of enemies can become allies.
For this matter, let’s open the Bible to take a look–
Caine angrily killed Abel over sacrifice to God,
the first war in human history was thus recorded,
without lethal weapons nor loyal allies to help,
merely one-on-one violence of two brothers (Gen. 4).
With the further spread of humankind,
when it came to Abraham’s time,
the frequent wars and different allies, nevertheless,
had become accepted norms (Gen. 14).
Like a snowball, getting bigger and heavier as it rolls.
The twentieth century, then, ushered in two WWs,
utilized the notion of allies and enemies to extreme…
“Closely cooperate”, “to eliminate the common enemy”
At the turn of the third decade of the twenty-first century,
this slogan is being chanted loudly once again.
The enemy, however, doesn’t belong to human race,
nor can be seen with human eyes.
Those who are chanting not only feel short of breath
but also hear the hearts’ fast-beating voice,
wondering where the Trojan horses are hiding.
Yes, this is an unprecedented war!
Whether from a national, religious, cultural angle,
or from a viewpoint economic, diplomatic, political,
the scale of the human alliance formed for this end,
has gone far beyond all that had happened
under the fluttering flags of war and slaughter.
Though many are still busy blaming each other,
while some others have started singing songs of honor,
urged by the survival instincts,
facing the “common enemy,” all humankind,
have to put time and energy together,
regardless of how temporary a measure,
to fight for an early victory.
History and reality are telling us an essential truth:
allies and enemies are not static existence,
but the continuous evolution of life.
The new coronavirus, today’s human “common enemy,”
tomorrow may become our faithful ally,
to fight against the fierce intruders
from the depths of the unknown universe,
until they also join us in caring for the Earth.
Let’s obey the law of convergence amid divergence,
no longer aim “elimination” to fight virus,
but to look for ways of peaceful coexistence.
Let us tear apart the illusions caused by the senses,
so as to face the bride Omega in front of us.
When she takes away the veil over her face,

to embrace all without discrimination and bias,

Coronavirus, non un eterno nemico
Tutto l’orbe travolgendo,
col fantasioso nome Covid-19,
coronavirus
fermò la Terra e tutto quanto su di essa rotava,
il genere umano costrinse di nuovo alle caverne,
ad osservare sole e luna, e per divertimento anche gli astri a contar .
Terrificante il suo attacco, rapido e segreto,
ai più arditi il capo fa chinar
ed i paesi che un tempo le mascherine sanitarie dileggiavano chiedono oggi aiuto
onde forte serrar la bocca e il naso delle genti.
Economia traballante, vite trepidanti,
nella storia umana,
scrivono una pagina di afflizione
e con l’espansione incrociata di Internet,
l’evento è diventato un romanzo seriale .
Non solo ha superato la lista dei più venduti,
letto è ampiamente in ogni famiglia,
a tutti i media titoli ha offerto.
Le menti di lettori e spettatori,
ormai sono piene solo
di virus che nuotano selvaggiamente.
Con il tono profeticamente triste, il saggio sospirò:
“Questa è una guerra globale,
non solo il nemico è invisibile,
non c’è fumo di polvere da sparo,
l’entità della ferocia, tuttavia,
non può essere stimata in parole e numeri.
Il mondo deve cooperare strettamente
per eliminare prima o poi il nemico comune … ”
“Collaborare strettamente “,
“per eliminare il nemico comune”
una retorica stimolante, familiare
cui gli esseri umani fanno eco ripetutamente,
la portata del cooperare non sia la stessa,
il nemico ha mutato volto di continuo:
gli alleati di oggi potrebbero essere i nemici di domani
mentre i nemici dei nemici possono diventare alleati.
Apro allora la Bibbia per dare un’occhiata …
Caino uccise furioso Abele che a Dio sacrificava,
la prima guerra nella storia umana,
senza armi letali né fedeli alleati ,
semplicemente violenza di un fratello contro l’altro fratello (Gen. 4).
Col diffondersi dell’umanità,
giunse il tempo di Abramo,
frequenti guerre e alleati diversi,
furon norma accettata (Gen. 14).
Quale valanga , più grande e più pesante mentre rotola.
Il ventesimo secolo, poi, due guerre mondiali ha inaugurato,
con la nozione di alleati e nemici all’estremo …
“Cooperare strettamente “,” per eliminare il nemico comune ”
A cavallo del terzo decennio del ventunesimo secolo,
lo slogan viene cantato di nuovo ad alta voce.
Il nemico, però , non appartiene alla razza umana,
né agli occhi umani è percettibile.
Chi canta non solo è senza fiato
ma ascolta anche la voce del cuore che batte forte,
chiedendosi dove si nascondano i cavalli di Troia.
Sì, questa è una guerra senza precedenti!
Nazionale, religiosa, culturale,
economica, diplomatica, politica,
la bilancia delle alleanze
umane a tal fine
è andata ben oltre ciò che era accaduto
col garrire degli stendardi di guerra e dei massacri.
Molti ancora sono impegnati a incolparsi l’un l’altro,
mentre altri hanno iniziato a cantare canzoni d’onore,
spinti dagli istinti di sopravvivenza,
di fronte al “nemico comune”,
deve il genere umano tutto
a radunar tempo ed energia
oltre le misure transitorie,
e lottare per una subita vittoria.
La storia e la realtà raccontano essenziale una verità:
alleati e nemici non sono statici,
ma continua evoluzione della vita.
Il nuovo coronavirus, il “nemico comune” dell’odierna umanità,
potrebbe domani diventare nostro fedele alleato
per combattere feroci intrusi
dalle profondità dell’universo ignoto,
unendosi a noi nella cura della Terra.
Nella divergenza
obbediamo alla legge della convergenza
non mirar più all’eliminazione
per combattere i virus,
ma cercare modi di convivenza pacifica.
Separiamo le illusioni dei sensi,
per farci incontro alla sposa Omega .
Quando il velo dal viso ella solleverà,
tenderà senza indugio le braccia sue calde,
per l’amplesso senza discrimine né pregiudizi,
farà benvenuto ogni singolo ospite,
presentandolo per l’incontro con lo sposo Alpha,
ed il banchetto nuziale
preparato dal cominciamento dell’infinito,
con canti gioiosi e allegre danze…
